HomeBlogPress and eventsTESTA sees huge surge of crowdsourced testers
In October, we saw a huge surge in new testers registering to become part of TESTA Qrowd, and the results speak for themselves.
October vs. September growth:
First of all, thank you to all our new testers and partners who have helped make this happen.
Second of all, so what happened? How did so many testers suddenly find out about TESTA and apply for jobs?
Two words: influencer marketing.
TESTA’s call for crowd sourced testers in the US got picked up by a decently influential YouTube channel called Living Delightful Freedom. That channel put out a video featuring TESTA (and a handful of other gig economy opportunities).
Applicants from all over the US clicked through via the “Apply for crowd testing jobs” CTA on the TESTA homepage—as they were instructed to do by Living Delightful Freedom host, Delania.
Influencer marketing on YT often involves paying for a spot on an influencer’s channel and then waiting for results. Interestingly, Delania found TESTA. And we only realized it when we saw the huge spike in applicants from the US.
Not all applicants succeeded. Applying for testing work for TESTA means applicants must pass a difficult aptitude test for starters. And following that, test case training weeds out even more. In the end though, TESTA increased its tester footprint in the US.
